ONCE UPON A TIME...

...a young girl grew up making cardboard forts in her parents' basement near Chicago, Illinois.  Unlike other kids her age, she never missed an episode of This Old House. She was also a budding entrepreneur who in 5th grade made and sold pencil cases out of felt. So many in fact that the teacher had to shut down her "store" as it was a distraction to his teaching.

The girl longed to create beautiful spaces and knew what she was going to do when she grew up. She endeavored through seven years of college to achieve her dream. (Her favorite school year was spent in France, near Versailles.)

She became an associate architect.

EVERY DAY...

...she practiced her craft in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

UNTIL...

She married and had a child.

The economy crashed in 2008.

Another child joined her family.

It was time for a change.

She left her career to be home with her family.

ONE DAY...

...she started sketching.

She didn't realize it was something she was good at until she showed the drawings to her family and friends.  They all said, "You should do that!"

God's purposes for her life met her passion for beauty - both man-made and what is in nature.

BECAUSE OF THAT...

...she kept drawing and drawing and drawing...and now painting and painting

FINALLY...

...she decided to create a website to share her drawings and paintings.  Her hope is to inspire others with art for the soul; to inspire others to flourish.
